So, seeing I haven't been on here in a while I thought I might add a post.
It's been a hectic week really. Last week of school before the holidays. The week before, our geography class had gone on a rafting trip. It hadn't rained recently and the water level was quite low. We all had heaps of fun. This week on Monday, I think it was, a school group from Auckland went Canyoning in a river further north, six students and their teacher died because of a flash flood. I didn't know what to think, I didn't want to think "Wow, that could have been me" because it couldn't have. Different areas, different time, different conditions. But it just puts things into perspective sometimes, that some things happen unannounced like that.
On Wednesday, we had Science first period. Our teacher was away doing Deputy Principal stuff, so we had our science teacher from the year before, who everyone behaved badly for. So that day, people were throwing stuff around. I was to start with, and it was all fun, but then I got sick of it and did some work. Anyway, so I'd finished, and one kid Ben, who is actually an alright guy, he just gets a bit carried away in a group of people. When it's just a few people, he's cool, not a twat like he was that day. So, he's being an idiot and throwing stuff around still and he throws an eraser at my arm. And if you've never been hit by an eraser thrown by a 1stXI Cricketer, that trust me, it stings like fuck. So me, being my pissed off self start yelling shit at him, I pick up the eraser and aim at his head, fortunately I miss. I've had enough experience to know how badly things can end if you connect at those times. I storm out of the room and head off to nowhere. Our science teacher sends my form teacher a message through the school network about it and he's asking me "Are you Ok?" and all that shit, and it's so sterile. Just like Ben apologizing, twice. I tell him to fuck off both times. Sometimes, you just need to think.
On Thursday, things were back to their normal, annoying, boring, pointless selves. There was supposed to be a party happening on Monday, that I didn't want to go to, but I couldn't tell my friends, because they'd think I was being a bit sad. It was this Tayla chicks party. I met her at my mate Chris' party and talked to her for about 20 minutes. She seemed nice, but she didn't stay the night like me so I didn't get to know her that well. So she ended up getting my cellphone number from Chris and invited me to the party. I didn't think my parents would let me go, even if there was no alcohol and stuff. I didn't want to go anyway, I just wanted to stay at home, cause we were going to Auckland to stay at my Aunties before going to the Airport to catch our plane to Australia. The party then moved to Saturday, which meant I wouldn't have a chance of going to it even if I was planning to ask my parents. It was then postponed until Wednesday. When I'd be packed to leave.
*sigh*
On Friday nothing much happened at school. We did a test paper in Science that was supposed to take 45 minutes, I did it in about 15 and got all the answers right. It was good to be able to come home after that, knowing you'd have a break. I went to the Basketball that night over in Napier. My brother was playing Futsal at half time so I decided that I'd go support our team. We lead for the first two quarters by about 4 points the whole way. My brothers team ended up playing for 3 minutes because the marching girls took over. They got second in the nationals apparantly, they bored me though. Our team ended up winning 91-73. Go the Hawkes Bay, lol.
Anyway, that was basically my week. For the holidays I've got Australia coming up. We leave home on Thursday, and return a week later on Sunday, I think. So I'll have one day before we go back to school. Drat.
